The national conference ‘Ensuring the Right to Education for Children with Disabilities’ & 2018 Gala of Inclusive Education

On December 5, at the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel, will take place the national conference ‘Ensuring the Right to Education for Children with Disabilities’ and the 2018 Gala of Inclusive Education. The conference will start at 10:00, and there will be presented the measures undertaken by our country in 2017 in order to ensure a quality and inclusive education for all, the achievements regarding the educational inclusion of children with disabilities from the local perspective, and the importance of the partnership between the school, the family and the community in their inclusion. Towards the end of the conference, starting at 15:30, the participants will adopt a resolution whereby authorities, institutions and members of civil society undertake to work together to remove obstacles and create opportunities for access to education for all children.

Beginning with 16:00, will start the Gala of Inclusive Education, moderated by Stela Danila, culminating with the awarding ceremony for the “Alexandra Grajdian” Trophy for CURAJ and INNOVATION in promoting inclusive education. The trophy represents a distinction awarded annually by APSCF to institutions that have made a substantial and lasting contribution to the development and promotion of inclusive education. The trophy was registered in the General Armorial of the Republic of Moldova, based on the decision of the National Heraldry Commission no. 42-V.01 of September 26, 2017. The trophy is an initiative of APSCF member organizations in the memory of Alexandra Grajdian.
