Expanding the PROCOPIL network

In 2012 we were on the last hundred meters of the implementation of the PROCOPIL regional program. Between May – July 2012, the program closure events took place in the four countries involved: Romania, Bulgaria, France and Moldova. A concluding conference and a best practice exchanges between the children of the NGOs was organized in each of the aforementioned countries.

At the same time, we were in the process of negotiating the participation in an European project that, following the discussions from the Black Sea NGO Forum held in Bucharest in October 2011, aims to create a network of NGOs from this region specialized in the child protection. The initial idea is to start from the PROCOPIL experience and expand to other networks in these countries. The focus in the coming years is geared towards the most active, qualitative and responsible participation of NGOs in the field to public policy decision making, at local and national level.

The PROCOPIL regional program has been running since 2005, in partnership with other 3 NGO networks active in child protection in Romania, France and Bulgaria.
