Psycho-pedagogical and educational assistance services for children in Leova

With the help of 2 psycho-pedagogues, 6 children with disabilities from the Leova district benefit from developmental and compensatory activities, and 5 other pedagogues work with 15 refugee children, with whom they catch up on school subjects such as English and mathematics. At the same time, 5 children also benefit from studying Romanian, which helps them to communicate more easily with their local peers.

Psycho-pedagogical and educational assistance is provided at the children’s homes, in the sensory room in the town of Leova and in educational institutions. Both parents and children have a beneficial interaction with teachers, who provide them with psychological support and useful informational support.

The children come to the activities with pleasure, the positive emotions they experience are expressed through hugs, smiles, waiting on the doorstep of the house or school, sometimes even with tears at the end of the sessions. Therefore, the partnership between psycho-pedagogues, teachers, children and parents is now based on a greater degree of trust, as the value of all professionals in ensuring the well-being of our beneficiaries is recognised.

The project “Psycho-socio-educational support for refugee children and children with disabilities from Leova district” is implemented by the Support Force in partnership with APSCF, within the grant program of the project “Support for refugees under the umbrella of APSCF”, with the financial support of the donor Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.
