The Alliance of active NGOs in the field of Child and Family Social Protection (APSCF) and the Center for Information and Documentation on the Rights of the Child (CIDDC) organises, during 2020, a training program on child participation in decision-making.
The purpose of the program is to create a learning space for APSCF member organisations and the Child Rights Ombudsman Office by sharing and identifying realistic, legal methods ensuring that adults take the child’s opinion into account.
The objectives of the program are:
- understanding the child’s right and principle to be heard;
- developing the capacities of professionals / specialists to create conditions and tools for the child’s voice to be heard in the processes that affect him;
- elaborating a set of criteria and recommendations for applying the standards of child participation, contextualised for the education, protection, health system, etc.
- sharing good practices and challenges in applying child participation standards in different contexts and at different levels.
The program is divided into several half-day training workshops. The participants are the representatives of the APSCF members, the representatives of the Child Rights Ombudsman Office, the CNPDC secretariat.
So far, more than 40 people participated to 2 online training sessions organised on 25th of May and 24th of June.
