Representatives of Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) conducted a working visit to familiarize themselves with the activities implemented within the project implemented by APSCF with financial support from DKH and the German Government. The visit provided an opportunity to assess the progress made in supporting Ukrainian refugees and the host communities.
Together with the APSCF team, representatives of DKH and the German Embassy in the Republic of Moldova visited the Refugee Center in Cărpineni, Hîncești district, where the organization Amici dei Bambini Moldova (AiBi) carries out activities in support of Ukrainian refugees. The visit agenda included discussions with the center’s team and beneficiaries, participation in the distribution of winter clothing and footwear vouchers, visiting the Ludotheque, observing a Romanian language lesson for refugee children, and engaging with participants in psychosocial support activities.
In addition, APSCF and DKH held meetings with representatives of the National Congress of Ukrainians in Moldova and UNHCR to discuss the current situation of refugees, the challenges they face, and common priorities for strengthening the humanitarian response.
The visit was organized within the framework of the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response for Ukrainians Affected by the Conflict and Citizens from Third Countries in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and Moldova”, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office – Auswärtiges Amt through Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, and implemented by APSCF in partnership with several national and local NGOs, including Amici dei Bambini Moldova (AiBi).
