On April 25, 2018, the Alliance of Active NGOs in the field of Child and Family Social Protection (APSCF), in partnership with the Faculty of Psychology and Special Psychopedagogy of the “Ion Creanga” State Pedagogical University of Chisinau, organised an informative session with the students focusing on action initiatives for education. The event aimed to animate the civic spirit for participating in the decision-making process on inclusive education funding.
During the event, Carolina Buzdugan, APSCF Secretary General, presented details of the purpose, the mission and the organizers of the Global Education Action Week (GAWE), emphasizing the importance of global partnerships in placing on the public agenda at national and local levels the issues related to ensuring quality in education. The students were encouraged to support the efforts for empowering the government to implement public policies ensuring quality education.
In the Q&A session that followed were discussed the specific actions required to support the government accountability for the implementation of the SDG4. The participants highlighted the need to strengthen the efforts of all actors involved in the implementation of inclusive education in order to ensure the continuity of the activities carried out by them. The outcome of the meeting took the shape of a proposal for organizing a next joint event with the participation of Alliance’s practitioners and experts in inclusive education, focusing on the possible contributions and initiatives of teachers and future teachers for improving the quality of education.
During the briefing session, APSCF promoted the video on inclusive education, developed within the project The Civil Society Education Fund 2016-2018, financed by Global Campaign for Education through the Arab Campaign for Education for All.
The event is part of the APSCF’s activities at the Global Education Week #GAWE2018.
