Members of APSCF and the Education for All (EFA) Group, part of the Alliance, participated on Wednesday, June 11, in the second training session on monitoring public education policies, focusing on practical tools, relevant indicators, and their applicability at both local and national levels. The session was facilitated by Ms. Sabina Cerbu, a lawyer.
According to Ms. Irina Popușoi, APSCF Secretary General, “this module aims to support civil society organizations in analyzing relevant educational policies, formulating SMART indicators, using public data sources, and developing monitoring plans that facilitate policy implementation. Moreover, participants learned how to translate these results into effective advocacy actions.”
The program combines theoretical sessions with mentorship, tailored to members’ specific needs, helping to ensure the practical application of knowledge — including within the context of Moldova’s EU accession process.
In addition, APSCF and EFA Group members benefit from training and mentorship in evidence-based advocacy, designed to strengthen the capacity of organizations to effectively monitor education policies and ensure equal access to education for all children in the country. The course is led by Ms. Diana Chiriacescu, National Director of FONSS Romania.
The trainings are carried out under the project “Civil Society for the Right to Education for All Children in Moldova”, implemented by APSCF with the financial support of Oxfam Denmark.
