The Ministry for Education, Culture and Research cooperates with APSCF to guarantee the access to a fair, inclusive and quality education for all children

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) and the Alliance of Active NGOs in the field of Child and Family Social Protection (APSCF) signed on September 27th a Memorandum of Understanding in order to guarantee the access to fair, inclusive and quality education for all children.

The Memorandum was signed taking into account the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international treaties on the rights of the child, and in the context of the implementation of the Program for the development of inclusive education in the Republic of Moldova for the years 2011-2020, approved by the Government Decision no. 523/2011. The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is to create a collaborative framework in order to strengthen the commitment of all the factors involved in ensuring the continuous development of inclusive education according to national and international documents, which advocate for the respect of the democratic principles and the fundamental rights of the child.

In his message, the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei stressed that the continuous assurance of the right to a quality education for all children is a priority of the MECC, and is achieved through a good cooperation with all the actors involved in the educational process. For her part, APSCF President Liliana Rotaru reiterated the need for the Memorandum of Understanding to ensure an efficient process of communication and involvement of key actors in the field of education in the consultation and elaboration of public policies, in promoting inclusive education policies in order to achieve the best ones. results.

The Memorandum of Understanding is signed for a period of 5 years and enters into force from the date of its signature.
